Would it matter if I use a loaf pan / regular baking pan instead of a horizontal tube / Bundt pan?
I http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/paula-deen/grandmother-pauls-sour-cream-pound-cake-recipe/index.html with this recipe for a pound cake and it says I need a horizontal tube / bundt pan, but I have only one loaf of bread and a regular baking pan …. my participation would be bad cake if I do not use a tube pan? You can use any of these pots, but I would suggest the loaf pan. Pound cakes are usually baked in a mold pans, but I only use about half of the dough. You could put the other half in regular skillet. The cooking time will remain more or less the same.
