How can I improve my business?
I have a small company that sells and installs equipment and machinery for bakeries, supermarkets and hotels.
Things have been a llitle slow and I had to move my showroom to an inexpensier location. Sales are coming in but too slow and my customers delay too much on making their decisions to buy my products, even though they like what I propouse to them. I understand that my inventory is expensive but how can I boost up my sales and make my customers buy from me?
When you develop your marketing materials (postcards, flyers, direct mail pieces, whatever), make sure that you focus your prospective clients attention on the BENEFITS of your products, not just their features.
Bad example of feature being advertised:
“Our ovens are capable of reaching temperatures of 400 degrees celsius in less than 10 minutes.”
Good example of same feature being presented as benefit instead:
“Make twice the money in half the time with our lightning-fast new ovens!”
When you market, only focus on “how this will help my client” and people will respond more readily.
