Is it okay to cook Buffalo Wings in an aluminum pan?

I'm looking to bake buffalo wings and I wonder if it's okay to bake in an aluminum pan (disposable or otherwise). I will be brushing / basting the chicken in the sauce 'drowning' the chicken in it. I heard sauces acidic like tomato sauce (the sauce less acidic wing) must not be cooked in aluminum (baking trays and oven) because of some chemical interaction, but I have seen large aluminum pots full of pasta and spaghetti sauce at the wedding, etc. Are all acid / aluminum truth or myth frying?

Pan aluminum thing is not a myth. Short term storage in an aluminum pan for the restoration of an event as described above is generally fine, however, if you intends to store acidic foods for more than a couple of hours after stainless steel or plastic is the way forward. Acids finally give color to the aluminum pan and in severe cases even through eating completely. Personally I advise you to fry the wings and toss in large bowl with enough sauce to cover the wings, not to float.
