Can You Make Tofu Pan fried breaded croquettes?

I bought a kilo of extra firm tofu. Can cut into 1 / 2 inch thick slices, coat in eggs shakes, the coverage simply breadcrumbs and fried in a pan? I looked online and the recipes I found were doing all sorts of nonsense Luxury as a coating with crushed sesame seeds and blah blah blah … Can I just treat it like a chicken cutlet … and fried bread?

That is the way to go. Some people do not eat eggs so different breadings use. Want to press excess water out of tofu slices before raising them. Just put some weight on them for a few minutes. Towls I put paper on the counter then the tofu slices then more paper towels, then a cutting board. If not allergic to the MSG put some chicken seasoning on them too.
